For your enjoyment here is a picture and a couple of videos. We're so excited about moving to Wisconsin! We'll be there mid-August. We're flying up Saturday to start looking for a house. That's about it for now. Oh, except that Finn is walking just 2 and three steps at a time now. It is so exciting. And he has some new words. Mamamamama is becoming Mommy, ni-ni means I'm ready to go night night, and EIEIO is from Old McDonald. He also says up and shakes his head "no". He's growing up fast. Lots of love to all of you.

Finn's First Birthday
Hi again! I realized I DO have a few pictures from Finn's birthday, so here they are. In this first one, he is back at home enjoying a cupcake. The rest are at the party at the park.
Eva, Todd, Charlotte. Eva, Todd, Kara.
Finn got so much awesome loot! 2 proud papas, Alfredo T. Garcia and soon-to-be Dr. McClish.
Tyler, Eva, Audri, Craig and Theo (my brother, cousin and her family). Friends with babies!
Karibou with new little Ulysses and big brother, Mosey. Charlotte and Erica.
Nicki, Neal, Dave with Emmit, Nicole and Fredo: new graduates, parents, and hubbies.

To our friends and family out of town, let me begin by apologizing for the long absence. Things got very busy here with moving, some out of town trips, and Mark's end-of-semester. I'm sure you've all heard by now that we are getting ready to move to Ripon, Wisconsin and we are very excited about both the job and the move. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot to share, but here are some of the best of the few pictures we have managed to take during the last few weeks. Enjoy, and blessings to you!
Here is the Finnster with my dad in front of my Memaw and Papaw's house:
Here he is being a sleepy-head having some breakfast:
Here he is getting ready for a swim:
We swim just about every day, and he loves it.
Playing with one of his toys. Eating in a very Asenath pose.
Munching on a letter during his nightly bath.
Playing on the bed after his bath:
Nighty-night!

Time for a new blog! And so many pictures and videos to show. Finn is 10 months old now. Has a total of 6 teeth coming in, continues to inchworm all around the house, and for a few weeks has been pulling up to standing and cruising. This gives him a whole new level of the house to explore which he loves. It is cold and wet now, but for the last month or more we have had beautiful weather and spent lots of time outside, which Finn also really loves.
Though we have loved the house we are living in now, we are moving yet again when our lease ends on April 15. The purpose of this move is to save money in an inexpensive place with a short-term lease while we wait to see what happens with Mark's job situation. So many schools have hiring freezes on, and only one member of the graduating class in his department has found a job for next year, and that is in far northern Canada, which would be so cold I don't actually envy him, though I am happy for him. This new place will be a place for us through the summer, and if there is still no job we will go from there. The new place is a tiny one bedroom apartment. The three of us and Hounddog will be squished in there, but cozy is OK. I am excited about being three blocks from the awesomest park and baby pool in austin and the apartment complex itself also has a nice pool and hot tub so it should be a fun place to spend the summer.
Mark leaves in the morning for a conference in Albequerque, so I will have Finn by myself for three days. My job is going great, I really like it. I'm only working 12 hours per week at the moment, which is perfect. That about sums up the news, so let's get to the good stuff. Remember that to watch the videos you have to click on the link that takes you to the blog.
Roll the pictures!

OK, I think I have the problem figured out. If you are viewing the blog in your e-mail program when you get the e-mail for a new blog the videos will not play. In order to watch the videos you have to go to the actual blog at www.earthpeople.blogspot.com. There is probably a link in the e-mails, like this one, that will take you to the blog. Good luck. If this doesn't work, let me know.

Is anyone getting the videos I post? I've had some reports that people are unable to view them. The last post had three videos. The one before that had several pictures and two videos. If you are unable to watch the videos, please let me know so I can continue investigating. If you are able to watch them, please let me know that, too. I need to figure out what is going on. (I have a new video of Finn standing up holding on to something, which he can do for a really long time!, but there's no use posting it if you can't see it.) E-mail Mark or me with to let us know. Thanks!
