Next Up: Long Walks on the Beach
Well, life's been great here in sleepy little Mukkolakkal Junction, but now it's time to move on to the next thing. That's right, we're adding one to the list of ex-residences and saying goodbye to Sri Narayana Guru and Ambalathunada. We're trading it all in for a quiet little house near the beach with a view to die for. What I'ma sayin' is: We're moving!
It all happened quite suddenly. We went for a little vacation at Kovalam last week and ended up staying four days. A man we know from there showed us a picture of the upstairs of his house he is trying to rent out and it looked nice. After a couple of days on the beach we started thinking how nice it would be to get to live right on the beach. So we went to look at his house and decided to take it. The moving truck is coming tomorrow!
We are very excited. Let me just say swimming in the huge warm waves of the Arabian Sea every day and eating fresh sea food sounds like a good way to go. Hooray!!!
If you have mailed us a letter or package the post office is forwarding our things to our new address. Our current downstairs neighbors will call us if anything accidentally comes here. But if you are thinking of sending anything, hold off a few days (at most) until I can get you our new address. I can't wait to send you pictures of the new place!
And with that, allow me to introduce to you a new idea called "Picture of the Day". Today's picture is one I took when I was coming home for a walk last week. These two boys are the male half of the four children who live across the street from us. They play outside a good deal of the time, and climb this wall when anyone comes to get a view of the action and a little conversation. They are actually a bit shy when it comes to talking to us. I chose this picture for todays post because it seemed to capture the mood of saying goodbye to this place. Tonight we pack. Tomorrow a new adventure begins! We'll keep you posted! Lots of love to all of you! -A
