Dance Night!

Hi! Here are some pictures from a night a couple of weeks ago. We ate at a restaurant called Spice Villiage that is tucked back behind the main row of activity along the beach front. This place is along one of the winding paths leading from the beach back up the hill. It just so happened that a dance performance was planned for that evening on the restaurant stage. The dancers were students at a local dance academy. Today I am featuring this one young lady who did classical dance. The dances tell a story, and the face and hand gestures are very specific and precise. Except for not having developed the curves of some of the other girls, this girl was an all-around star. Her attitude was very serious. I thought if I included several pictures of one dance (there were several) you might be able to get a feel for what it is like in motion. I hope you enjoy!!

And here are some other pictures from the evening's entertainment, including the male dancers that are very popular over here. The movies and music videos are full of energetic young men in hip clothing doing coordinated dance routines. This is the height of cool for young men as far as I can tell, and these guys were sure into it.
