MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT! Good Ol' FINN!

This little boy is a complete sweetie-pie.

Hey Everybody! Well, I've gotten a few comments about the lack of new Finn material. And so, bowing to demand, I'm here to roll out some new pics. Its hard to pick which ones to use because we take so many. And, the best moments never make in on camera. But, he's got a certain je ne sais quoi, non? So, I'll start off with one that makes me laugh every time.
I don't even know what kind of face that is. He got caught turning his head, but he looks like he's in on a little secret...

He's starting to figure out his fingers and hands. Sometimes he sleeps with his hands folded together. Its quite charming.

As for the family scene, we're doing great here. Finn is growing up so fast that I'm starting to feel a little trepidatious about how soon he'll be all grown! He just started batting his toys with his hands and feet a few days ago, and I can already see a new awareness in his eyes and in his behavior. He's also gotten a lot more expressive with his gurgles and coos and is always flashing his beautiful smile now.
We took him to my friend Matt's going-away party at the local Y (good luck, Matt!), and he got to take his first dip. But mostly he just snoozed in the shade, as witnessed in this photo. He was great at the party and was held by many and loved by all...
I'm just going to fill you in on what's going on down here while we scroll through pictures. Asenath is doing great, she's proving to be a great mom with a ton of enthusiasm for the job. She gets to stay home with Finn, for which we are both grateful. Because he's awesome.
I'm finally closing in on having the dissertation wrapped up. I can hardly believe it, but I'm almost there. I'm trying to get some sample chapters ready by fall to show prospective employers. Universities usually do their interviewing in the fall and hire in the spring. So, I've got to be ready to go when semester starts. I've got a little windowless office at the library where I go. I'm just starting to get a glimpse of what might be out there after the dissertation is done. And, its pretty exciting...and now, more Finn:
He's getting burped in this one. I love that position because he gets the real bulldog look.

So, all in all things are pretty beautiful right now. Lots going on and still not sure what the fall semester will hold, but for now everything is looking good!

Here's hoping that everyone is doing spectacularly! Its good to know that despite what else is going on the world, kids rock.
